Kansas Firefighters Museum
Engine House No. 6 (NRHP) was the last Wichita station operating with horse-drawn equipment. Inside the nicely renovated 1909 station, the museum exhibits early fire trucks and engines (some horse-drawn) as well as historic photos and many fire-related artifacts. South of the museum a Kansas Fallen Firefighters Memorial includes a wall with the names of fallen firefighters. Saturday 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Also open by appointment. Admission charge.
